The production of single phosphate (SSP) is basically conversion of insoluble P₂O₅ to soluble P₂O₅ by chemical reaction between phosphate ore and dilute sulphuric acid in definite proportion. The reactants originally thin slurry set to a solid mass during the reaction. After initial production to completion of the reaction i.e. product SSP it may take up to 21 days.
